Today we're going to review part number BDW10029, this is the Bulldog 1.8 horsepower trailer winch with the wire rope, and the mounting plate, and a 5800 pound weight capacity. Now this 5800 pound trailer winch with the 1.8 horsepower motor is tailored to the car haul or trailer customer, has 55 feet of wire rope with a rope tensioner for easy spooling and rope management. It has a steel latch hook which I've already attached to the cable. It has a hand saver strap installed on it. The other nice thing, it comes with a mounting plate for your winch, and on the front of the mounting plate I've already installed the roller fairlead, and what's nice with that, it's normally used in a situation where you have the wire cable. What will happen is, once your winch is mounted here, you run your cable through these rollers, and then as you extend it out or wench it in, what happens is that cable will ride along these rollers. That's good because if you ended up winching something that's at a severe angle, the cable will roll against the roller itself and it keeps from damaging or fraying the cable. more

Right down here, you can see it has a sealed 6 horse power series wound motor, which will efficiently deliver quick and safe line pulling. It does respond to an increase on load by slowing down and reducing the current to minimize the risk of overheating the motor. Also attached, you can see it has this hand held remote with a nice rubber glove on it for good grip and a heavy duty 15 foot long coiled cord. This will let you operate the winch from a safe distance and when you do use these push buttons on the remote, this will power the load in and out. You can actually, it works well at night because when you push on the buttons, it'll light up a LED light here, so at night you'll be able to see what you're doing. Now on the other side here, has a pull and turn free spool clutch. more

Today in our 2010 Kawasaki Mule, well be installing the Superwinch LT2000, part number 1120210. Before we begin our install, well show you how to operate this winch. Now, with the ignition on, we can go ahead and press the out button releasing more cable, or you can press the in button which will draw our cable back in. To pull out on our cable manually, well release the hand knob.To release the hand knob, you pull out, releasing the roll pin from the guides in the spool. Well turn it so that the guides dont line up which will allow the spool to free spin. Now weve got the necessary length out, we want to retract it. more

Superwinch Front Mount Electric Winch Wiring Installation - 2003 Ford F-250- Video
Today on our 2003 Ford F-250 we'll be installing the Superwinch Front Vehicle Electric Winch Wiring Harness, Part Number SW2007. In today's video we'll be using the Superwinch Talon 12.5-I, Part Number SW1612210. Now we'll begin here on the winch. We're going to need to remove the cover that covers up the center solenoid section. We'll need to remove these 4 allen head bolts right here up underneath the cover. Once these are done we'll need to remove 2 more allen head bolts here on the end as well as 5 phillips head screws up underneath that will allow us to remove the cover and gain access to the bolt that holds the red wire, or the positive wire, on the solenoid side. We'll be removing the red wire which is the positive wire. more

Superwinch Talon Winch Installation - 2003 Ford F-250- Video
Today on our 2003 Ford F250 well be installing as well as going over the operation of the Superwinch Talon Series 12.5 I Winch part number SW1612210. The Superwinch can be installed permanently in a fix mounted location and you will not need to change the wiring on the winch. Now for our application today well be showing you how to use it with the Curt Trailer Hitch Electric Winch Mount Plate as well as the Superwinch Electric Wiring Harnesses for both the front and the rear of the vehicle which allows us to use the Curt Trailer Hitch Electric Winch Mount Plate which is part number C31010 as well as the handles for the Winch Mount Plate which are part number C31005. You may also notice some of the wires that come out of the top of the winch are a little bit different. Thats because this winch has been wired to accommodate the Front Vehicle Electric Winch Wiring Harness which is part number SW2007 as well at it also works with the Rear or the Trailer and Vehicle Electric Winch Wiring Kit from Superwinch part number SW2008. In both of those kits you will actually remove the ground and the red or the positive wire from the winch and youll replace them with parts from their kit. Were going to need to remove the cover that covers up the center solenoid section. Now depending on your winch the removal of the cover to get the positive side off might be a little bit different than ours, but for ours we need to remove a couple bolts here that hold the cover on and gain access to the bolt that holds the red wire or the positive wire on the solenoid side. Next well go ahead and fish the red wire out of the grommet here. Once we pull the red wire out well go ahead and fish our new positive side through the grommet into the area where well be making our connection. more

Superwinch Electric Winch Wiring Kit Installation - 2003 Ford F-250- Video
Today on our 2003 Ford F-250, we will be installing the Superwinch Trailer and Vehicle Electric Winch Wiring Kit for up to 16,500 pound winches, part number, SW2008. In today's video, we'll be using the Superwinch Talon 12.5i, part number, SW1612210. We're going to need to remove the positive and the negative wire off of the winch itself and replace it with a short leads that come with the kit. Now, it's a good idea on your quick disconnect plug to go ahead and mark the ends of the wires that way you don't accidentally mix them up. Put a positive for the positive side as well as a dash for the negative side.Now, depending on your winch, the removal of the cover to get the positive side off might be a little bit different than hours. But for ours we'll need to remove these 4 Allen head bolts right here up underneath the cover. more

All right, today in this 2004 Ford F250 were going to install part number SW2008 from Superwinch. This is our wire harness for the back of the truck. Well go ahead and mark the ends of our cable. Well go ahead and pair the end with the gray connector to see which is positive and negative and well go ahead and mark the ends. Well go ahead and take our two 5-ft long wires with the gray connector and well route those from the front of the vehicle to the battery. Weve got one wire in and well go ahead and repeat the same process with the other wire. more

Superwinch LT2000 ATV Winch Installation - 2011 Honda Rancher- Video
Today on our 2001 Honda Rancher were going to be installing the Superwinch LT2000 ATV Winch part number 1120210. Well also be using the ATV winch mount kit part number 2202889 designed specifically for the Honda Rancher. To begin our install were going to remove the black bumper cover from the ATV. You have the 2 bolts on the bottom of the bumper cover and on the top here are 2 pushpins. With our front bumper cover removed well go ahead and loosen up the lower cover which will allow it to flex like so. We can now take our bottom plates facer and our main plate 2/4 by 3/4 bolts and their nuts within the frame of the ATV here. more
